Public transport passengers have begun using the new MyWay+ ticketing system this morning as the ACT Government announced the date for the start of Fare Free Fridays "Over the last few months significant progress has occurred in the design, development and testing of the new MyWay+ system," said Minister for Transport Chris Steel. Existing MyWay equipment is being removed from buses and at light rail stops so it can be replaced with new MyWay+ validators and other hardware.

Free Public Transport. All concession holders must carry their proof of concession while travelling on public transport. Public transport passengers are now catching light rail and buses for free as the system begins its six-week transition to the new MyWay+ ticketing system

Free Public Transport for Under 25s. Until June 2025, ACT Seniors card holders can use their Seniors card as a flash card while travelling for free (60-69: off peak and 70 and over: at all times).
